And king Solomon answered and said unto his mother, And why dost thou ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? ask for him the kingdom also; for he is mine elder brother; even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab the son of Zeruiah.

And kingª Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹהª answeredª° and saidª° unto his mother,ª And why¹ dost thou¹ askª°¹ ´Ávîšaq אֲבִישַׁגª the Šûnammîŧ שׁוּנַמִּיתª for ´Áđöniyyà אֲדֹנִיָּה?ª askª° for him¹ the kingdomª also; for¹ he¹ [is] mine¹ elderª brother;ª even for him, and for ´Evyäŧär אֶביָתָרª the priest,ª and for Yô´äv יוֹאָבª the sonª of Xærûyà צְרוּיָה.ª
