And he said, Thou knowest that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel set their faces on me, that I should reign: howbeit the kingdom is turned about, and is become my brother's; for it was his from Jehovah.

And he said,ª° Thou¹ knowestª° that¹ the kingdomª was¹ mine, and [that] all¹ Israelª setª° their facesª on¹ me, that I should reign:ª° howbeit the kingdomª is turned about,ª° and is become¹ my brother's:ª for¹ it was¹ his from the LORD.ª¹

And he said,ª° Thou¹ knowestª° that¹ the kingdomeª was¹ mine, and that all¹ Israelª setª° their facesª on¹ me, that I should raigne:ª° howbeit the kingdomeª is turned about,ª° and is become¹ my brothers:ª for¹ it was¹ his from the LORD.ª¹

And he said to her, Thou knowest that the kingdom was mine, and all Israel turned their face toward me for a king; but the kingdom was turned [from me] and became my brother's: for it was [appointed] to him from the Lord.

And he said,ª° Thou¹ knowestª° that¹ the kingdomª was¹ mine, and [that] all¹ Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵלª setª° their facesª on¹ me, that I should reign:ª° howbeit the kingdomª is turned about,ª° and is become¹ my brother's:ª for¹ it was¹ his from Yähwè יָהוֶה.ª¹
