[and that] the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, [and] a burning, [that] it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which Jehovah overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:

[And that] the whole¹ landª thereof [is] brimstone,ª and salt,ª [and] burning,ª [that] it is not¹ sown,ª° nor¹ beareth,ª° nor¹ any¹ grassª growethª° therein, like the overthrowª of Sodom,ª and Gomorrah,ª Admah,ª and Zeboim,ª which¹ the LORDª overthrewª° in his anger,ª and in his wrath:ª

brimstone and burning salt, (the whole land shall not be sown, neither shall any green thing spring, nor rise upon it, as Sodom and Gomorrah{gr.Gomorrha} were overthrown, Adama and Seboim, which the Lord overthrew in his wrath and anger:)--
