If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the shocks of grain, or the standing grain, or the field are consumed; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.

If¹ fireª break out,ª° and catchª° in thorns,ª so that the stacks of corn,ª or¹ the standing corn,ª or¹ the field,ª be consumedª° [therewith]; he that kindledª°¹ the fireª shall surely²° make restitution.ª°

If¹ fireª breake out,ª° and catchª° in thornes,ª so that the stackes of corne,ª or¹ the standing corne,ª or¹ the fieldª be consumedª° [therewith]; hee that kindledª°¹ the fire,ª shall surely²° make restitution.ª°

And if fire have gone forth and caught thorns, and should also set on fire threshing-floors or ears of corn or a field, he that kindled the fire shall make compensation.
