And the sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father with guile, and spake, because he had defiled Dinah their sister,

And the sons of Jacob answered to Shechem{gr.Sychem} and Hamor{gr.Emmor} his father craftily, and spoke to them, because they had defiled Dinah{gr.Dina} their sister.

And the sonsª of Ya`áköv יַעֲקֹבª answeredª°¹ Šæȼem שְׁכֶם²¹ and Çámôr חֲמוֹרª his fatherª deceitfully,ª and said,ª° because¹ he had defiledª°¹ Dînà דִּינָהª their sister:ª

waYaánû v'nëy-yaáqov et-sh'khem w'et-chámôr äviyw B'mir'mäh way'daBërû ásher ţiMë ët Diynäh áchotäm
