the burnt:
"If¹ his offeringª [be] a burnt sacrificeª of¹ the herd,ª let him offerª ° a maleª without blemish:ª he shall offerª ° it of his own voluntary willª at¹ the doorª of the tabernacleª of the congregationª beforeª the LORD.ª ... And he shall cleaveª ° it with the wingsª thereof, [but] shall not¹ divide [it] asunder:ª ° and the priestª shall burnª ° it upon the altar,ª upon¹ the woodª that¹ [is] upon¹ the fire:ª it¹ [is] a burnt sacrifice,ª an offering made by fire,ª of a sweetª savourª unto the LORD.ª" {Lev 1:3-17}

the sin:
"Speakª ° unto¹ the childrenª of Israel,ª saying,ª ° If¹ a soulª shall sinª ° through ignoranceª against any¹ ¹ of the commandmentsª of the LORDª [concerning things] which¹ ought not¹ to be done,ª ° and shall doª ° against anyª ¹ of them:ª ¹ ... the trespass:
"And he shall bringª °¹ his trespass offeringª unto the LORDª for¹ his sinª which¹ he hath sinned,ª ° a femaleª from¹ the flock,ª a lambª or¹ a kidª of the goats,ª for a sin offering;ª and the priestª shall make an atonementª ° for¹ him concerning his sin.ª ¹ ... And the priestª shall make an atonementª ° for¹ him as touching¹ his sinª that¹ he hath sinnedª ° in oneª ¹ of these,¹ ¹ and it shall be forgivenª ° him: and [the remnant] shall be¹ the priest's,ª as a meat offering.ª" {Lev 5:6-13} + "And he shall bringª ° his trespass offeringª unto the LORD,ª a ramª without blemishª out of¹ the flock,ª with thy estimation,ª for a trespass offering,ª unto¹ the priest:ª" {Lev 6:6} + "Likewise this¹ [is] the lawª of the trespass offering:ª it¹ [is] most² holy.ª ...
