- The whole arch of the east gate, measured from the southern extremity of one room to the northern extremity of the opposite room, was 25 cubits; including the dimensions of the two rooms, or twelve cubits ("And [every] little chamberª [was] oneª reedª long,ª and oneª reedª broad;ª and between¹ the little chambersª [were] fiveª cubits;ª and the thresholdª of the gateª byª¹ the porchª of the gateª withinª [was] oneª reed.ª" {Ezk 40:7}); the spaces before the rooms, or two cubits ("The spaceª also beforeª the little chambersª [was] oneª cubitª [on this side], and the spaceª [was] one¹ cubitª on that side:¹¹ and the little chambersª [were] sixª cubitsª on this side,¹¹ and sixª cubitsª on that side.¹¹" {Ezk 40:12}); and the breadth of the entrance, ten cubits ("And he measuredª°¹ the breadthª of the entryª of the gate,ª tenª cubits;ª [and] the lengthª of the gate,ª thirteenªª cubits.ª" {Ezk 40:11}); making all 24 cubits, leaving one cubit for the thickness of the walls. "He measuredª° then¹ the gateª from the roofª¹ of [one] little chamberª to the roofª of another: the breadthª [was] fiveª and twentyª cubits,ª doorª against¹ door.ª" {Ezk 40:13}
