Arad:

the way of the spies:
Dr. Kennicott remarks, that the word atharim, rendered spies in our version, is in the Greek a proper name (Αθαρειν, (Atharim). "So they went up,ª ° and searchedª °¹ the landª from the wildernessª ¹ of Zinª unto¹ Rehob,ª as men comeª ° to Hamath.ª ... And they ascendedª ° by the south,ª and cameª ° unto¹ Hebron;ª where¹ Ahiman,ª Sheshai,ª and Talmai,ª the childrenª of Anak,ª [were].
