{Genesis 46:28} And he sent 7971 z8804 Judah 3063 before x6440 him y6440 unto x413 Joseph, 3130 to direct 3384 z8687 his face 6440 unto Goshen; 1657 and they came 935 z8799 into the land 776 of Goshen. 1657

Judah:
"And Judahª saidª ° unto¹ Israelª his father,ª Sendª ° the ladª with¹ me, and we will ariseª ° and go;² °¹ that we may live,ª ° and not¹ die,ª ° both¹ we,¹ and¹ thou,¹ [and] also¹ our little ones.ª" {Gen 43:8} + "And Judahª said,ª ° What¹ shall we sayª ° unto my lord?ª what¹ shall we speak?ª ° or how¹ shall we clear ourselves?ª ° Godª hath found outª °¹ the iniquityª of thy servants:ª behold,¹ we [are] my lord'sª servants,ª both¹ we,¹ and [he] alsoª with whomª ª the cupª is found.ª ° ... Goshen:
Goshen seems to have been a city, after which the land of Goshen was called. The LXX render it by Ηρωωνπολις, Heroonpolis, "city of Heroon;" which by some writers is simply called Heroum, and is by the ancient geographers placed in the eastern part of Egypt, not far from the Arabian Gulf. "That ye shall say,ª ° Thy servants'ª trade² ¹ hath been¹ about cattleª from our youthª ¹ even until¹ now,¹ both¹ we,¹ [and] also¹ our fathers:ª that¹ ye may dwellª ° in the landª of Goshen;ª for¹ every¹ shepherdª ª ° [is] an abominationª unto the Egyptians.ª" {Gen 46:34} + "And thou shalt dwellª ° in the landª of Goshen,ª and thou shalt be¹ nearª unto¹ me, thou,¹ and thy children,ª and thy children'sª children,ª and thy flocks,ª and thy herds,ª and all¹ that¹ thou hast:" {Gen 45:10} + "Then Josephª cameª ° and toldª ° Pharaoh,ª and said,ª ° My fatherª and my brethren,ª and their flocks,ª and their herds,ª and all¹ that¹ they have, are come¹ out² ° of the landª ¹ of Canaan;ª and, behold,¹ they [are] in the landª of Goshen.ª" {Gen 47:1}
