Leviticus 21

1 Of the priests' mourning. 6 Of their holiness. 8 Of their estimation. 7, 13 Of their marriages. 17 The priests that have blemishes must not minister in the sanctuary.

 21:1 ¶ And Yahweh 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Moses, 4872 Speak 559 z8798 unto x413 the priests 3548 the sons 1121 of Aaron, 175 and say 559 z8804 unto x413 them, There shall none x3808 be defiled 2930 z8691 for the dead 5315 among his people: 5971

 21:2 But x3588 x518 for his kin, 7607 that is near 7138 unto x413 him, [that is], for his mother, 517 and for his father, 1 and for his son, 1121 and for his daughter, 1323 and for his brother, 251

 21:3 And for his sister 269 a virgin, 1330 that is nigh 7138 unto x413 him, which x834 hath had x1961 no x3808 husband; 376 for her may he be defiled. 2930 z8691

 21:4 [But] he shall not x3808 defile y2930 z8691 himself, x2930 [being] a chief man 1167 among his people, 5971 to profane y2490 z8736 himself. x2490

 21:5 They shall not x3808 make 7139 z8799 baldness 7144 upon their head, 7218 neither x3808 shall they shave off 1548 z8762 the corner 6285 of their beard, 2206 nor x3808 make 8295 z8799 any cuttings 8296 in their flesh. 1320

 21:6 They shall be x1961 holy y6944 x6918 unto their Elohim, 430 and not x3808 profane 2490 z8762 the name 8034 of their Elohim: 430 for x3588 x853 the offerings y801 z0 of Yahweh y3068 made by fire, 801 x3068 [and] the bread 3899 of their Elohim, 430 they x1992 do offer: 7126 z8688 therefore they shall be x1961 holy. y6918 x6944

 21:7 They shall not x3808 take 3947 z8799 a wife 802 [that is] a whore, 2181 z8802 or profane; 2491 neither x3808 shall they take 3947 z8799 a woman 802 put away 1644 z8803 from her husband: 376 x4480 for x3588 he x1931 [is] holy 6918 unto his Elohim. 430

 21:8 Thou shalt sanctify 6942 z8765 him therefore; for x3588 he x1931 offereth 7126 z8688 x853 the bread 3899 of thy Elohim: 430 he shall be x1961 holy 6918 unto thee: for x3588 I x589 Yahweh, 3068 Mekaddishkem, 6942 z8764 [am] holy. 6918

 21:9 ¶ And the daughter 1323 of any 376 priest, 3548 if x3588 she profane y2490 z8735 herself x2490 by playing the whore, 2181 z8800 she x1931 profaneth 2490 z8764 x853 her father: 1 she shall be burnt 8313 z8735 with fire. 784

 21:10 And [he that is] the high 1419 priest 3548 among his brethren, 251 x4480 upon x5921 whose x834 head 7218 the anointing 4888 oil 8081 was poured, 3332 z8714 and that is consecrated 4390 3027 z8765 x853 to put y3847 z8800 on x3847 x853 the garments, 899 shall not x3808 uncover 6544 z8799 x853 his head, 7218 nor x3808 rend 6533 z8799 his clothes; 899

 21:11 Neither x3808 shall he go in 935 z8799 to x5921 any x3605 dead 4191 z8801 body, 5315 nor x3808 defile y2930 z8691 himself x2930 for his father, 1 or for his mother; 517

 21:12 Neither x3808 shall he go out 3318 z8799 of x4480 the sanctuary, 4720 nor x3808 profane 2490 z8762 x853 the sanctuary 4720 of his Elohim; 430 for x3588 the crown 5145 of the anointing 4888 oil 8081 of his Elohim 430 [is] upon x5921 him: I x589 [am] Yahweh. 3068

 21:13 And he x1931 shall take 3947 z8799 a wife 802 in her virginity. 1331

 21:14 A widow, 490 or a divorced woman, 1644 z8803 or profane, 2491 [or] an harlot, 2181 z8802 x853 these x428 shall he not x3808 take: 3947 z8799 but x3588 x518 he shall take 3947 z8799 a virgin 1330 of his own people 5971 x4480 to wife. 802

 21:15 Neither x3808 shall he profane 2490 z8762 his seed 2233 among his people: 5971 for x3588 I x589 Yahweh 3068 do sanctify 6942 z8764 him.

 21:16 ¶ And Yahweh 3068 spake 1696 z8762 unto x413 Moses, 4872 saying, 559 z8800

 21:17 Speak 1696 z8761 unto x413 Aaron, 175 saying, 559 z8800 Whosoever 376 x834 [he be] of thy seed 2233 x4480 in their generations 1755 that hath x1961 [any] blemish, 3971 let him not x3808 approach 7126 z8799 to offer 7126 z8687 the bread 3899 of his Elohim. 430

 21:18 For x3588 whatsoever x3605 man 376 [he be] that x834 hath a blemish, 3971 he shall not x3808 approach: 7126 z8799 a blind 5787 man, 376 or x176 a lame, 6455 or x176 he that hath a flat nose, 2763 z8803 or x176 any thing superfluous, 8311 z8803

 21:19 Or x176 a man 376 that x834 is x1961 brokenfooted, 7667 7272 or x176 brokenhanded, 7667 3027

 21:20 Or x176 crookbackt, 1384 or x176 a dwarf, 1851 or x176 that hath a blemish 8400 in his eye, 5869 or x176 be scurvy, 1618 or x176 scabbed, 3217 or x176 hath his stones 810 broken; 4790

 21:21 No x3808 x3605 man 376 that x834 hath a blemish 3971 of the seed 2233 x4480 of Aaron 175 the priest 3548 shall come nigh 5066 z8799 to offer 7126 z8687 x853 the offerings y801 z0 of Yahweh y3068 made by fire: 801 x3068 he hath a blemish; 3971 he shall not x3808 come nigh 5066 z8799 to offer 7126 z8687 x853 the bread 3899 of his Elohim. 430

 21:22 He shall eat 398 z8799 the bread 3899 of his Elohim, 430 [both] of the most y6944 holy, 6944 x4480 and of x4480 the holy. 6944

 21:23 Only x389 he shall not x3808 go in 935 z8799 unto x413 the vail, 6532 nor x3808 come nigh 5066 z8799 unto x413 the altar, 4196 because x3588 he hath a blemish; 3971 that he profane 2490 z8762 not x3808 x853 my sanctuaries: 4720 for x3588 I x589 Yahweh 3068 Mekaddishkem. 6942 z8764

 21:24 And Moses 4872 told 1696 z8762 [it] unto x413 Aaron, 175 and to x413 his sons, 1121 and unto x413 all x3605 the children 1121 of Israel. 3478
