1 God's judgment upon Babylon and Chaldea, 6 for their unmercifulness, 7 pride, 10 and overboldness, 1 shall be unresistable.

 47:1 ¶ Come down, 3381 z8798 and sit 3427 z8798 in x5921 the dust, 6083 O virgin 1330 daughter 1323 of Babylon, 894 sit 3427 z8798 on the ground: 776 [there is] no x369 throne, 3678 O daughter 1323 of the Chaldeans: 3778 for x3588 thou shalt no x3808 more 3254 z8686 be called 7121 z8799 tender 7390 and delicate. 6028

 47:2 Take 3947 z8798 the millstones, 7347 and grind 2912 z8798 meal: 7058 uncover 1540 z8761 thy locks, 6777 make bare 2834 z8798 the leg, 7640 uncover 1540 z8761 the thigh, 7785 pass over 5674 z8798 the rivers. 5104

 47:3 Thy nakedness 6172 shall be uncovered, 1540 z8735 yea, x1571 thy shame 2781 shall be seen: 7200 z8735 I will take 3947 z8799 vengeance, 5359 and I will not x3808 meet 6293 z8799 [thee as] a man. 120

 47:4 [As for] our redeemer, 1350 z8802 Yahweh 3068 Sabaoth 6635 [is] his name, 8034 the Holy One 6918 of Israel. 3478

 47:5 Sit 3427 z8798 thou silent, 1748 and get 935 z8798 thee into darkness, 2822 O daughter 1323 of the Chaldeans: 3778 for x3588 thou shalt no x3808 more 3254 z8686 be called, 7121 z8799 The lady 1404 of kingdoms. 4467

 47:6 ¶ I was wroth 7107 z8804 with x5921 my people, 5971 I have polluted 2490 z8765 mine inheritance, 5159 and given 5414 z8799 them into thine hand: 3027 thou didst shew 7760 z8804 them no x3808 mercy; 7356 upon x5921 the ancient 2205 hast thou very 3966 heavily y3513 z8689 laid x3513 thy yoke. 5923

 47:7 ¶ And thou saidst, 559 z8799 I shall be x1961 a lady 1404 for ever: 5769 [so] that x5704 thou didst not x3808 lay 7760 z8804 these x428 [things] to x5921 thy heart, 3820 neither x3808 didst remember 2142 z8804 the latter end 319 of it.

 47:8 Therefore hear 8085 z8798 now x6258 this, x2063 [thou that art] given to pleasures, 5719 that dwellest 3427 z8802 carelessly, 983 that sayest 559 z8802 in thine heart, 3824 I x589 [am], and none else y657 beside x657 x5750 me; I shall not x3808 sit 3427 z8799 [as] a widow, 490 neither x3808 shall I know 3045 z8799 the loss of children: 7908

 47:9 But these x428 two 8147 [things] shall come 935 z8799 to thee in a moment 7281 in one 259 day, 3117 the loss of children, 7908 and widowhood: 489 they shall come 935 z8804 upon x5921 thee in their perfection 8537 for the multitude 7230 of thy sorceries, 3785 [and] for the great 3966 abundance 6109 of thine enchantments. 2267

 47:10 ¶ For thou hast trusted 982 z8799 in thy wickedness: 7451 thou hast said, 559 z8804 None x369 seeth 7200 z8802 me. Thy wisdom 2451 and thy knowledge, 1847 it x1931 hath perverted 7725 z8790 thee; and thou hast said 559 z8799 in thine heart, 3820 I x589 [am], and none else y657 beside x657 x5750 me.

 47:11 ¶ Therefore shall evil 7451 come 935 z8804 upon x5921 thee; thou shalt not x3808 know 3045 z8799 from whence it riseth: 7837 and mischief 1943 shall fall 5307 z8799 upon x5921 thee; thou shalt not x3808 be able 3201 z8799 to put it off: 3722 z8763 and desolation 7722 shall come 935 z8799 upon x5921 thee suddenly, 6597 [which] thou shalt not x3808 know. 3045 z8799

 47:12 Stand 5975 z8798 now x4994 with thine enchantments, 2267 and with the multitude 7230 of thy sorceries, 3785 wherein 834 thou hast laboured 3021 z8804 from thy youth; 5271 x4480 if so be x194 thou shalt be able 3201 z8799 to profit, 3276 z8687 if so be x194 thou mayest prevail. 6206 z8799

 47:13 Thou art wearied 3811 z8738 in the multitude 7230 of thy counsels. 6098 Let now x4994 the astrologers, 1895 8064 z8802 the stargazers, 3556 y2374 x2372 the monthly 2320 prognosticators, 3045 z8688 stand up, 5975 z8799 and save 3467 z8686 thee from [these things] that x4480 x834 shall come 935 z8799 upon x5921 thee.

 47:14 Behold, x2009 they shall be x1961 as stubble; 7179 the fire 784 shall burn 8313 z8804 them; they shall not x3808 deliver 5337 z8686 x853 themselves 5315 from the power 3027 x4480 of the flame: 3852 [there shall] not x369 [be] a coal 1513 to warm 2552 z8800 at, [nor] fire 217 to sit 3427 z8800 before x5048 it.

 47:15 Thus x3651 shall they be x1961 unto thee with whom x834 thou hast laboured, 3021 z8804 [even] thy merchants, 5503 z8802 from thy youth: 5271 x4480 they shall wander 8582 z8804 every one 376 to his quarter; 5676 none x369 shall save 3467 z8688 thee.
