1 God's wrath against Moab, 4 upon Judah, 6 and upon Israel. 9 God complaineth of their unfaithfulness.

2:1 ¶ Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 Yahweh; 3068 For x5921 three 7969 transgressions 6588 of Moab, 4124 and for x5921 four, 702 I will not x3808 turn away 7725 z8686 [the punishment] thereof; because x5921 he burned 8313 z8800 the bones 6106 of the king 4428 of Edom 123 into lime: 7875

2:2 But I will send 7971 z8765 a fire 784 upon Moab, 4124 and it shall devour 398 z8804 the palaces 759 of Kerioth: 7152 and Moab 4124 shall die 4191 z8804 with tumult, 7588 with shouting, 8643 [and] with the sound 6963 of the trumpet: 7782

2:3 And I will cut off 3772 z8689 the judge 8199 z8802 from the midst 7130 x4480 thereof, and will slay 2026 z8799 all x3605 the princes 8269 thereof with x5973 him, saith 559 z8804 Yahweh. 3068

2:4 ¶ Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 Yahweh; 3068 For x5921 three 7969 transgressions 6588 of Judah, 3063 and for x5921 four, 702 I will not x3808 turn away 7725 z8686 [the punishment] thereof; because x5921 they have despised 3988 z8800 x853 the law 8451 of Yahweh, 3068 and have not x3808 kept 8104 z8804 his commandments, 2706 and their lies 3577 caused them to err, 8582 z8686 after 310 the which x834 their fathers 1 have walked: 1980 z8804

2:5 But I will send 7971 z8765 a fire 784 upon Judah, 3063 and it shall devour 398 z8804 the palaces 759 of Jerusalem. 3389

2:6 ¶ Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 Yahweh; 3068 For x5921 three 7969 transgressions 6588 of Israel, 3478 and for x5921 four, 702 I will not x3808 turn away 7725 z8686 [the punishment] thereof; because x5921 they sold 4376 z8800 the righteous 6662 for silver, 3701 and the poor 34 for x5668 a pair of shoes; 5275

2:7 That pant 7602 z8802 after x5921 the dust 6083 of the earth 776 on the head 7218 of the poor, 1800 and turn aside 5186 z8686 the way 1870 of the meek: 6035 and a man 376 and his father 1 will go y3212 z8799 in x1980 unto x413 the [same] maid, 5291 to x4616 profane 2490 z8763 x853 my holy 6944 name: 8034

2:8 And they lay [themselves] down 5186 z8686 upon x5921 clothes 899 laid to pledge 2254 z8803 by 681 every x3605 altar, 4196 and they drink 8354 z8799 the wine 3196 of the condemned 6064 z8803 [in] the house 1004 of their elohim. 430

2:9 ¶ Yet destroyed 8045 z8689 I x595 x853 the Amorite 567 before 6440 x4480 them, whose x834 height 1363 [was] like the height 1363 of the cedars, 730 and he x1931 [was] strong 2634 as the oaks; 437 yet I destroyed 8045 z8686 his fruit 6529 from above, 4605 x4480 and his roots 8328 from beneath. x4480 x8478

2:10 Also I x595 brought you up 5927 z8689 x853 from the land 776 x4480 of Egypt, 4714 and led y3212 z8686 x1980 you forty 705 years 8141 through the wilderness, 4057 to possess 3423 z8800 x853 the land 776 of the Amorite. 567

2:11 And I raised up 6965 z8686 of your sons 1121 x4480 for prophets, 5030 and of your young men 970 x4480 for Nazarites. 5139 [Is it] not x369 even x637 thus, x2063 O ye children 1121 of Israel? 3478 saith 5002 z8803 Yahweh. 3068

2:12 But ye gave x853 the Nazarites 5139 wine 3196 to drink; 8248 z8686 and commanded 6680 z8765 the prophets, 5030 saying, 559 z8800 Prophesy 5012 z8735 not. x3808

2:13 Behold, x2009 I x595 am pressed 5781 z8688 under x8478 you, as x834 a cart 5699 is pressed 5781 z8686 [that is] full y4392 of x4392 sheaves. 5995

2:14 Therefore the flight 4498 shall perish 6 z8804 from the swift, 7031 x4480 and the strong 2389 shall not x3808 strengthen 553 z8762 his force, 3581 neither x3808 shall the mighty 1368 deliver 4422 z8762 himself: 5315

2:15 Neither x3808 shall he stand 5975 z8799 that handleth 8610 z8802 the bow; 7198 and [he that is] swift 7031 of foot 7272 shall not x3808 deliver 4422 z8762 [himself]: neither x3808 shall he that rideth 7392 z8802 the horse 5483 deliver 4422 z8762 himself. 5315

2:16 And [he that is] courageous 533 3820 among the mighty 1368 shall flee away 5127 z8799 naked 6174 in that x1931 day, 3117 saith 5002 z8803 Yahweh. 3068
