אֱלֹהִיםº
out of the fish'sº
belly,ºº |

2:1 ¶
Then Yonah prayed unto Yahweh his Elohim out of the fish's belly, |

And said,ºº
I criedºº
by reason of mine afflictionºº
untoº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
and he heardºº
me; out of the bellyºº
of hellº
criedºº
I, [and] thou heardestºº
my voice.º |
2:2
And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto Yahweh, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, [and] thou heardest my voice. |

2:3
For thou hadst castºº
me into the deep,º
in the midstº
of the seas;º
and the floodsº
compassedºº
me about:º
allº
thy billowsº
and thy wavesº
passedº
overººº
me. |
2:3
For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me. |

Then Iº
said,ºº
I am cast outºº
ofºº
thy sight;º
yetº
I will lookºº
againºº
towardº
thy holyº
temple.º |
2:4
Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple. |

2:5
The watersº
compassed me about,ºº
[even] toº
the soul:º
the depthº
closed me round about,ºº
the weedsº
were wrappedº
aboutºº
my head.º |
2:5
The waters compassed me about, [even] to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head. |

2:6
I went downºº
to the bottomsº
of the mountains;º
the earthº
with her barsº
[was] aboutº
me for ever:º
yet hast thou brought upºº
my lifeº
from corruption,ºº
O
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
my
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.º |
2:6
I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars [was] about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Yahweh my Elohim. |

2:7
When my soulº
faintedºº
withinº
me I rememberedººº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה:º
and my prayerº
came inºº
untoº
thee, intoº
thine holyº
temple.º |
2:7
When my soul fainted within me I remembered Yahweh: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. |

2:8
They that observeºº
lyingº
vanitiesº
forsakeºº
their own mercy.º |
2:8
They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. |
|
2:9
But Iº
will sacrificeºº
unto thee with the voiceº
of thanksgiving;º
I will payºº
[that] thatº
I have vowed.ºº
Salvationº
[is] of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |
2:9
But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay [that] that I have vowed. Salvation [is] of Yahweh. |

And
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
spakeºº
unto the fish,º
and it vomited outººº
Yônà
יוֹנָהº
uponº
the dryº
[land]. |
2:10 ¶
And Yahweh spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Yonah upon the dry [land]. |
