Wherefore it behooved him in all things to be made like unto his brethren, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

Whereforeª inª all thingsª it behoved¹ him²° to be made like²° unto¹ [his] brethren,ª thatª he might beª° a mercifulª andª faithfulª high priestª in things¹ [pertaining] to² God,ª to² make reconciliation forª° the¹ sinsª of the¹ people.ª

Therefore it was right that in every thing he should be rendered like unto his brethren, that he might be compassionate, and a High Priest faithful in [things pertaining] to Aloha, and become an expiation for the sins of the people.
