And when he had read it, he asked of what province he was; and when he understood that he was of Cilicia,

Andª when the¹ governorª had readª° [the letter],² he¹ askedª° ofª whatª provinceª he was.ª° Andª when he understoodª° thatª [he was] ofª Cilicia;ª

And when he had read the letter, he asked him from what province he was. And when he had heard that (he was) from Cilicia,

ἀναγνοὺς δὲ καὶ ἐπερωτήσας ἐκ ποίας ἐπαρχείας ἐστὶν καὶ πυθόμενος ὅτι ἀπὸ Κιλικίας

Having-had-acquainted-up moreover and having-entreated-upon-unto out of-whither-belonged of-a-firsting-upon-of it-be and having-had-ascertained to-which-a-one off of-a-Kilikia,
