He saith unto them, Moses for your hardness of heart suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it hath not been so.

He saithª° unto them,ª² Mosesª because¹ of² the¹ hardness²° of your² heartsª¹ sufferedª° youª to put awayª° yourª wives:ª butª fromª the beginningª it wasª° notª so.ª

Hee saithª° vnto them,ª² Moses,ª because¹ of² the¹ hardnesse²° of your² hearts,ª¹ sufferedª° youª to put awayª° yourª wiues:ª butª fromª the beginningª it wasª° notª so.ª

He said to them, Musha, on account of the hardness of your heart, permitted you to send away your wives; but from the beginning it was not so.

He said to them: Moses, on account of the hardness of your heart, permitted you to divorce your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

λέγει αὐτοῖς ὅτι Μωυσῆς πρὸς τὴν σκληροκαρδίαν ὑμῶν ἐπέτρεψεν ὑμῖν ἀπολῦσαι τὰς γυναῖκας ὑμῶν, ἀπ' ἀρχῆς δὲ οὐ γέγονεν οὕτως.

It-fortheth unto-them, To-which-a-one, a-Mouses toward to-the-one to-a-stiff-heart of-ye it-turned-upon unto-ye to-have-loosed-off to-the-ones to-women of-ye; off of-a-firsting moreover not it-hath-had-come-to-become unto-the-one-this.
