But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Butª he¹ answeredª° and said,ª° It is written,ª° Manª shall²° notª liveª° byª breadª alone,ª butª byª everyª wordª that proceedethª° out ofª the mouthª of God.ª

But he answered and said, It is written that not by bread alone liveth the Son of man, but by every word which proceedeth from the mouth of Aloha.

But he replied, and said: It is written, that not by bread only, doth man live; but by every word proceeding from the mouth of God.

ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν Γέγραπται Οὐκ ἐπ' ἄρτῳ μόνῳ ζήσεται ὁ ἄνθρωπος, ἀλλ' ἐπὶ παντὶ ῥήματι ἐκπορευομένῳ διὰ στόματος θεοῦ.

The-one moreover having-been-separated-off it-had-said, It-had-come-to-be-scribed, Not upon unto-a-loaf unto-alone it-shall-life-unto, the-one a-mankind, other upon unto-all unto-an-uttering-to unto-traversing-out-of through of-a-mouth of-a-Deity.
