shrines:
Ναους, temples, probably portable silver models of the temple of Diana, and small images of the goddess, somewhat like the Santa Casa purchased by pilgrims at Loretto.

Diana:
"So² that¹ notª onlyª thisª ourª craftª is in dangerª ° to be set² ° at² nought;ª ¹ ¹ butª alsoª that the¹ templeª of the¹ greatª goddessª Dianaª should be despised,ª ª ª ° andª ² her² ¹ magnificenceª shouldª ° be¹ destroyed,ª ° whomª allª Asiaª andª the¹ worldª worshippeth.ª ° ...
