Cross Reference ACTS 7:6 AND GOD SPAKE ON THIS WISE THAT HIS SEED SHOULD SOJOURN IN A STRANGE LAND AND THAT THEY SHOULD BRING THEM INTO BONDAGE AND ENTREAT THEM EVIL FOUR HUNDRED YEARS

That:
"And he saidª ° unto Abram,ª Know² ° of a suretyª ° that¹ thy seedª shall be¹ a strangerª in a landª [that is] not¹ theirs, and shall serveª ° them; and they shall afflictª ° them fourª hundredª years;ª" {Gen 15:13} + "But in the fourthª generationª they shall come hither² again:ª °¹ for¹ the iniquityª of the Amoritesª [is] not¹ yetª ¹ full.ª" {Gen 15:16}

"Now the sojourningª of the childrenª of Israel,ª who¹ dweltª ° in Egypt,ª [was] fourª hundredª ² and thirtyª years.ª ... And it came to pass¹ at the endª ¹ of the fourª hundredª ² and thirtyª years,ª even the selfsameª ¹ dayª it came to pass,¹ that all¹ the hostsª of the LORDª went outª ° from the landª ¹ of Egypt.ª" {Exd 12:40-41} + "Andª thisª I say,ª ° [that] the covenant,ª that was confirmed beforeª ° ofª Godª inª Christ,ª the¹ law,ª which wasª ° four hundredª andª thirtyª yearsª after,ª cannot² disannul,ª °¹ that² it should make² ° the promise² of none effect.ª °¹ ¹" {Gal 3:17}
