iniquity:
"Gileadª [is] a cityª of them that workª ° iniquity,ª [and is] pollutedª with blood.ª ¹" {Hsa 6:8} + "And Elijahª the Tishbite,ª [who was] of the inhabitantsª ¹ of Gilead,ª saidª ° unto¹ Ahab,ª [As] the LORDª Godª of Israelª liveth,ª beforeª whom¹ I stand,ª ° there shall not¹ be¹ dewª nor rainª these¹ years,ª but¹ ¹ accordingª to my word.ª" {1Kg 17:1}

surely:
"But they are altogetherª brutishª ° and foolish:ª ° the stockª [is] a doctrineª of vanities.ª" {Jer 10:8} + "They¹ [are] vanity,ª [and] the workª of errors:ª in the timeª of their visitationª they shall perish.ª °" {Jer 10:15} + "They that observeª ° lyingª vanitiesª forsakeª ° their own mercy.ª" {Jna 2:8}

they sacrifice:
"Though¹ thou,¹ Israel,ª play the harlot,ª ° [yet] let not¹ Judahª offend;ª ° and comeª ° not¹ ye unto Gilgal,ª neither¹ go ye upª ° to Bethaven,ª nor¹ swear,ª ° The LORDª liveth.ª" {Hsa 4:15} + "All¹ their wickednessª [is] in Gilgal:ª for¹ there¹ I hatedª ° them: for¹ the wickednessª of their doingsª I will drive them outª ° of mine house,ª ¹ I will love² ¹ them no¹ more:ª ° all¹ their princesª [are] revolters.ª °" {Hsa 9:15} + "Comeª ° to Bethel,ª and transgress;ª ° at Gilgalª multiplyª ° transgression;ª ° and bringª ° your sacrificesª every morning,ª [and] your tithesª after threeª years:ª" {Ams 4:4} + "But seekª ° not¹ Bethel,ª nor¹ enterª ° into Gilgal,ª and passª ° not¹ to Beersheba:ª for¹ Gilgalª shall surely² ° go into captivity,ª ° and Bethelª shall come¹ to nought.ª" {Ams 5:5}

their altars:
"Because¹ Ephraimª hath made manyª ° altarsª to sin,ª ° altarsª shall be¹ unto him to sin.ª °" {Hsa 8:11} + "Israelª [is] an emptyª ° vine,ª he bringeth forthª ° fruitª unto himself: according to the multitudeª of his fruitª he hath increasedª ° the altars;ª according to the goodnessª of his landª they have made goodly² °¹ images.ª" {Hsa 10:1} + "And the childrenª of Israelª did secretlyª ° [those] thingsª that¹ [were] not¹ right¹ against¹ the LORDª their God,ª and they builtª ° them high placesª in all¹ their cities,ª from the towerª ¹ of the watchmenª ° to¹ the fencedª city.ª ...
