{Ezekiel 44:11} Yet they shall be x1961 ministers 8334 z8764 in my sanctuary, 4720 [having] charge 6486 at x413 the gates 8179 of the house, 1004 and ministering 8334 z8764 x853 to the house: 1004 they x1992 shall slay 7819 z8799 x853 the burnt offering 5930 and the sacrifice 2077 for the people, 5971 and they x1992 shall stand 5975 z8799 before 6440 them to minister 8334 z8763 unto them.

they shall be:
As few, if any, of those who, before the captivity, had been guilty in these respects, lived to witness the restoration of the temple service; and as it does not appear that their descendants were thus degraded for the idolatry of their ancestors; it is probable that a thorough reformation of the whole church, or the prevalence of pure religion among the converted Jews, is here predicted.

having charge:
"But I will make�� them keepers�� of the charge� of the house,� for all� the service� thereof, and for all� that� shall be done�� therein." {Ezk 44:14} + "And he said�� unto� me, This� chamber,� whose� prospect� [is] toward� the south,� [is] for the priests,� the keepers�� of the charge� of the house.�" {Ezk 40:45} + "Concerning the divisions� of the porters:� Of the Korhites� [was] Meshelemiah� the son� of Kore,� of� the sons� of Asaph.� ... These� [are] the divisions� of the porters� among the sons� of Kore,� and among the sons� of Merari.�" {1Ch 26:1-19}

shall slay:
"But� the priests� were� too few,� so that they could�� not� flay�� all� the burnt offerings:� wherefore their brethren� the Levites� did help�� them, till� the work� was ended,�� and until� the [other] priests� had sanctified�� themselves:� for� the Levites� [were] more upright� in heart� to sanctify�� themselves� than the priests.��" {2Ch 29:34} + "For� [there were] many� in the congregation� that� were not� sanctified:�� therefore the Levites� had the charge of� the killing� of the passovers� for every one� [that was] not� clean,� to sanctify�� [them] unto the LORD.�" {2Ch 30:17} + "So the service� was prepared,�� and the priests� stood�� in� their place,� and the Levites� in� their courses,� according to the king's� commandment.� ... and they:
"[Seemeth it but] a small thing� unto� you, that� the God� of Israel� hath separated�� you from the congregation�� of Israel,� to bring you near�� to� himself to do�� the service� of the tabernacle� of the LORD,� and to stand�� before� the congregation� to minister�� unto them?" {Num 16:9} + "And I,� behold,� I have taken�� your brethren� the Levites� from among�� the children� of Israel:� to you [they are] given�� [as] a gift� for the LORD,� to do�� the service� of the tabernacle� of the congregation.�" {Num 18:6}
