the altar:
Heb. Harel, that is, the mountain of God, Probably so called in opposition to the idolatrous high places.

the altar:
Heb. Ariel, that is, the lion of God, Rather, "the hearth of God," from the Arabic irat or iryat a hearth, and ail God. "Woeª to Ariel,ª to Ariel,ª the cityª [where] Davidª dwelt!ª ° addª ° ye yearª to¹ year;ª let them killª ° sacrifices.ª ... Yet I will distressª ° Ariel,ª and there shall be¹ heavinessª and sorrow:ª and it shall be¹ unto me as Ariel.ª" {Isa 29:1-2} + "And the multitudeª of all¹ the nationsª that fightª ° against¹ Ariel,ª even all¹ that fight² °¹ against her and her munition,ª and that distressª ° her, shall be¹ as a dreamª of a nightª vision.ª" {Isa 29:7}

four horns:
