take thee:
"Speakª ° unto¹ the childrenª of Israel,ª and takeª ° of¹ ¹ every one of them a rodª according to the houseª of [their] fathers,ª of¹ ¹ all¹ their princesª according to the houseª of their fathersª twelveª ª rods:ª writeª ° thou¹ every man'sª nameª upon¹ his rod.ª ... And thou shalt writeª ° Aaron'sª nameª upon¹ the rodª of Levi:ª for¹ oneª rodª [shall be] for the headª of the houseª of their fathers.ª" {Num 17:2-3}

For Judah:
"But [as for] the childrenª of Israelª that dweltª ° in the citiesª of Judah,ª Rehoboamª reignedª ° over¹ them." {2Ch 10:17} + "And he fortifiedª °¹ the strong holds,ª and putª ° captainsª in them, and storeª of victual,ª and of oilª and wine.ª ... For Joseph:
"So² ° when all¹ Israelª sawª ° that¹ the kingª hearkenedª ° not¹ unto¹ them, the peopleª answeredª ¹ ¹ the king,ª saying,ª ° What¹ portionª have we in David?ª neither¹ [have we] inheritanceª in the sonª of Jesse:ª to your tents,ª O Israel:ª now¹ seeª ° to thine own house,ª David.ª So Israelª departed² °¹ unto their tents.ª ...
