Woe:
"Thus¹ saithª ° the Lordª GOD;ª Woeª unto¹ the foolishª prophets,ª that¹ followª ª ° their own spirit,ª and have seenª ° nothing!¹" {Ezk 13:3}

that sew:
Rather,"that fasten cushions;" by which they intimated that they might indulge and repose themselves in security, for no enemy would disturb them. The apartments of the easterns are well supplied with cushions, on which they sit, lean, rest their heads, and prop up their arms. hunt souls:
"[There is] a conspiracyª of her prophetsª in the midstª thereof, like a roaringª ° lionª raveningª ° the prey;ª they have devouredª ° souls;ª they have takenª ° the treasureª and precious things;ª they have made her manyª ° widowsª in the midstª thereof." {Ezk 22:25} + "Thatª we [henceforth] beª ° no moreª children,ª tossed to and fro,ª ° andª carried about¹ with² ° everyª windª of doctrine,ª byª the¹ sleightª of men,ª [and]¹ cunning craftiness,ª ² wherebyª they lie in wait² to deceive;ª ¹" {Eph 4:14} + "Havingª ° eyesª fullª of adultery,ª andª that cannot cease¹ from² sin;ª beguilingª ° unstableª souls:ª an heartª they haveª ° exercisedª ° with covetous practices;ª cursedª children:ª" {2Pe 2:14}
