purposed:
"The LORDª hath doneª ° [that] which¹ he had devised;ª ° he hath fulfilledª ° his wordª that¹ he had commandedª ° in the daysª ¹ of old:ª he hath thrown down,ª ° and hath not¹ pitied:ª ° and he hath caused [thine] enemyª ° to rejoiceª ° over¹ thee, he hath set upª ° the hornª of thine adversaries.ª" {Lam 2:17} + "And now¹ go to; I will tellª °¹ you¹ what¹ I¹ will doª ° to my vineyard:ª I will take awayª ° the hedgeª thereof, and it shall be¹ eaten up;ª ° [and] break downª ° the wallª thereof, and it shall be¹ trodden down:ª" {Isa 5:5} + "Go ye upª ° upon her walls,ª and destroy;ª ° but makeª ° not¹ a full end:ª take awayª ° her battlements;ª for¹ they¹ [are] not¹ the LORD'S.ª" {Jer 5:10}

Heb. swallowing up, "The Lordª hath swallowed upª °¹ all¹ the habitationsª of Jacob,ª and hath not¹ pitied:ª ° he hath thrown downª ° in his wrathª the strong holdsª of the daughterª of Judah;ª he hath brought [them] downª ° to the ground:ª he hath pollutedª ° the kingdomª and the princesª thereof." {Lam 2:2} + "The Lordª was¹ as an enemy:ª ° he hath swallowed upª ° Israel,ª he hath swallowed upª ° all¹ her palaces:ª he hath destroyedª ° his strong holds,ª and hath increasedª ° in the daughterª of Judahª mourningª and lamentation.ª" {Lam 2:5}

he made:
"And her gatesª shall lamentª ° and mourn;ª ° and she [being] desolateª ° shall sitª ° upon the ground.ª" {Isa 3:26} + "Judahª mourneth,ª ° and the gatesª thereof languish;ª ° they are blackª ° unto the ground;ª and the cryª of Jerusalemª is gone up.ª °" {Jer 14:2}
