"The Lordª hath swallowed upª °¹ all¹ the habitationsª of Jacob,ª and hath not¹ pitied:ª ° he hath thrown downª ° in his wrathª the strong holdsª of the daughterª of Judah;ª he hath brought [them] downª ° to the ground:ª he hath pollutedª ° the kingdomª and the princesª thereof." {Lam 2:2} + "And he burntª °¹ the houseª of the LORD,ª and the king'sª house,ª and all¹ the housesª of Jerusalem,ª and every¹ greatª [man's] houseª burntª ° he with fire.ª" {2Kg 25:9} + "But they mockedª °¹ the messengersª of God,ª and despisedª ° his words,ª and misusedª ° his prophets,ª until¹ the wrathª of the LORDª aroseª ° against his people,ª till¹ [there was] no¹ remedy.ª ...
