he did:
"And Judahª didª ° evilª in the sightª of the LORD,ª and they provoked him to jealousyª °¹ with their sinsª which¹ they had committed,ª ° above all¹ ¹ that¹ their fathersª had done.ª °" {1Kg 14:22} + "And he didª ° [that which was] evilª in the sightª of the LORD,ª according to all¹ that¹ Jehoiakimª had done.ª ° ... For¹ through¹ the angerª of the LORDª it came to pass¹ in Jerusalemª and Judah,ª until¹ he had cast them outª °¹ from¹ ¹ his presence,ª that Zedekiahª rebelledª ° against the kingª of Babylon.ª" {2Kg 24:19-20} + "And he didª ° [that which was] evilª in the sightª of the LORDª his God,ª [and] humbled² ° not himself¹ ¹ beforeª ¹ Jeremiahª the prophetª [speaking] from the mouthª ¹ of the LORD.ª ... And they fetched forthª °¹ Urijahª out of Egypt,ª ¹ and broughtª ° him unto¹ Jehoiakimª the king;ª who slewª ° him with the sword,ª and castª °¹ his dead bodyª into¹ the gravesª of the commonª people.ª" {Jer 26:21-23} + "So the kingª sentª °¹ Jehudiª to fetchª °¹ the roll:ª and he tookª ° it out of Elishamaª the scribe'sª ° chamber.ª ¹ And Jehudiª readª ° it in the earsª of the king,ª and in the earsª of all¹ the princesª which stoodª ° besideª ¹ the king.ª ... And I will punishª °¹ him and his seedª and his servantsª for¹ their iniquity;ª and I will bringª ° upon¹ them, and upon¹ the inhabitantsª ° of Jerusalem,ª and upon¹ the menª of Judah,ª ¹ all¹ the evilª that¹ I have pronouncedª ° against¹ them; but they hearkenedª ° not.¹" {Jer 36:29-31}
