- Heshbon:
- "From the cryª¹ of Heshbonª [even] unto¹ Elealeh,ª [and even] unto¹ Jahaz,ª have they utteredª° their voice,ª from Zoarª¹ [even] unto¹ Horonaim,ª [as] an heiferª of three years old:ª for¹ the watersª also¹ of Nimrimª shall be¹ desolate.ª ... Moreover I will cause to ceaseª° in Moab,ª saithª° the LORD,ª him that offerethª° in the high places,ª and him that burneth incenseª° to his gods.ª" {Jer 48:34-35} + "And Israelª tookª°¹ all¹ these¹ cities:ª and Israelª dweltª° in all¹ the citiesª of the Amorites,ª in Heshbon,ª and in all¹ the villagesª thereof. ...
