I will:
"Therefore¹¹ is the angerª of the LORDª kindledª° against his people,ª and he hath stretched forthª° his handª against¹ them, and hath smittenª° them: and the hillsª did tremble,ª° and their carcasesª [were] tornª¹ in the midstª of the streets.ª For all¹ this¹ his angerª is not¹ turned away,ª° but his handª [is] stretched outª° still.¹ ... And in that¹ dayª they shall roarª° against¹ them like the roaringª of the sea:ª and if [one] lookª° unto the land,ª behold¹ darknessª [and] sorrow,ª and the lightª is darkenedª° in the heavensª thereof." {Isa 5:25-30} + "O² Assyrian,ª the rodª of mine anger,ª and the staffª in their handª is mine indignation.ª ... I will sendª° him against an hypocriticalª nation,ª and against¹ the peopleª of my wrathª will I give him a charge,ª° to takeª° the spoil,ª and to takeª° the prey,ª and to tread them downª²° like the mireª of the streets.ª" {Isa 10:5-6} + "As yet¹ shall he remainª° at Nobª that day:ª he shall shakeª° his handª [against] the mountª of the daughterª²° of Zion,ª the hillª of Jerusalem.ª" {Isa 10:32} + "And behold¹ at eveningtideªª trouble;ª [and] before¹ the morningª he [is] not.¹ This¹ [is] the portionª of them that spoilª° us, and the lotª of them that robª° us." {Isa 17:14} + "Behold,¹ the LORDª maketh the earth² empty,ª°¹ and maketh it waste,ª° and turneth²° it upside down,ª¹ and scattereth abroadª° the inhabitantsª° thereof. ... In the cityª is leftª° desolation,ª and the gateª is smittenª° with destruction.ª" {Isa 24:1-12} + "Behold,¹ their valiant onesª shall cryª° without:ª the ambassadorsª of peaceª shall weepª° bitterly.ª ... The earthª mournethª° [and] languisheth:ª° Lebanonª is ashamedª° [and] hewn down:ª° Sharonª is¹ like a wilderness;ª and Bashanª and Carmelª shake offª° [their fruits]." {Isa 33:7-9} + "Then cameª° Eliakim,ª the sonª of Hilkiah,ª that¹ [was] over¹ the household,ª and Shebnaª the scribe,ª° and Joah,ª the sonª of Asaph,ª the recorder,ª° to¹ Hezekiahª with [their] clothesª rent,ª° and toldª° him¹ the wordsª of Rabshakeh.ª" {Isa 36:22} + "And they saidª° unto¹ him, Thus¹ saithª° Hezekiah,ª This¹ dayª [is] a dayª of trouble,ª and of rebuke,ª and of blasphemy:ª for¹ the childrenª are comeª° to¹ the birth,ª and [there is] not¹ strengthª to bring forth.ª°" {Isa 37:3} + "Therefore¹ thus¹ saithª° the LORD;ª Behold,¹ I will giveª°¹ this¹ cityª into the handª of the Chaldeans,ª and into the handª of Nebuchadrezzarª kingª of Babylon,ª and he shall takeª° it: ... Because¹ of all¹ the evilª of the childrenª of Israelª and of the childrenª of Judah,ª which¹ they have doneª° to provoke me to anger,ª° they,¹ their kings,ª their princes,ª their priests,ª and their prophets,ª and the menª of Judah,ª and the inhabitantsª° of Jerusalem.ª" {Jer 32:28-32} + "And it came to pass,¹ [that] when¹ Zedekiahª the kingª of Judahª sawª° them, and all¹ the men²¹ of war,ª then they fled,ª° and went forthª° out of¹ the cityª by night,ª by the wayª of the king'sª garden,ª by the gateª betwixt¹ the two walls:ª and he went outª° the wayª of the plain.ª ... But the Chaldeans'ª armyª pursuedª° afterª them, and overtookª°¹ Zedekiahª in the plainsª of Jericho:ª and when they had takenª° him, they brought him upª° to¹ Nebuchadnezzarª kingª of Babylonª to Riblahª in the landª of Hamath,ª where he gaveª° judgmentª upon¹ him." {Jer 39:4-5}

Or, as Bp. Lowth renders, "and it shall be unto me as the hearth of the great altar;" that is, it shall be the seat of the fire of God, which shall issue from thence to consume his enemies. The hearth of the altar is expressly called ariel by Ezekiel, "So the altarª² [shall be] fourª cubits;ª and from the altarª¹ and upwardª [shall be] fourª horns.ª" {Ezk 43:15}; which is put, in the former part of the verse, for Jerusalem, the city in which the altar was. The subject of this and the four following chapters, says Bp. Lowth, is the invasion of Sennacherib; the great distress of the Jews while it continued; their sudden and unexpected deliverance by God's immediate and miraculous interposition on their behalf; the subsequent prosperous state of the kingdom under Hezekiah; interspersed with severe reproofs and threats of punishment for their hypocrisy, stupidity, infidelity, their want of trust in God, and their vain reliance on the assistance of Egypt; and with promises of better times, both immediately to succeed, and to be expected in the future age. "The swordª of the LORDª is filledª° with blood,ª it is made fatª° with fatness,ª¹ [and] with the bloodª¹ of lambsª and goats,ª with the fatª¹ of the kidneysª of rams:ª for¹ the LORDª hath a sacrificeª in Bozrah,ª and a greatª slaughterª in the landª of Idumea.ª" {Isa 34:6} + "Therefore have I poured outª° mine indignationª upon¹ them; I have consumedª° them with the fireª of my wrath:ª their own wayª have I recompensedª° upon their heads,ª saithª° the Lordª GOD.ª" {Ezk 22:31} + "And utterª° a parableª unto¹ the rebelliousª house,ª and sayª° unto¹ them, Thus¹ saithª° the Lordª GOD;ª Set onª° a pot,ª set [it] on,ª° and also¹ pourª° waterª into it: ... In thy filthinessª [is] lewdness:ª because¹ I have purgedª° thee, and thou wast not¹ purged,ª° thou shalt not¹ be purgedª° from thy filthinessª¹ any more,¹ till¹ I have caused¹ my furyª to restª° upon thee." {Ezk 24:3-13} + "And, thou¹ sonª of man,ª thus¹ saithª° the Lordª GOD;ª Speakª° unto every¹ featheredª fowl,ª and to every¹ beastª of the field,ª Assemble²° yourselves,¹ and come;ª° gather²° yourselves¹ on every sideª¹ to¹ my sacrificeª that¹ I¹ do sacrificeª° for you, [even] a greatª sacrificeª upon¹ the mountainsª of Israel,ª that ye may eatª° flesh,ª and drinkª° blood.ª" {Ezk 39:17} + "Hold thy peaceª° at the presenceª¹ of the Lordª GOD:ª for¹ the dayª of the LORDª [is] at hand:ª for¹ the LORDª hath preparedª° a sacrifice,ª he hath bidª° his guests.ª° ... And it shall come to pass¹ in the dayª of the LORD'Sª sacrifice,ª that I will punishª°¹ the princes,ª and the king'sª children,ª and all¹ such as are clothedª° with strangeª apparel.ª" {Zph 1:7-8} + "Andª I sawª° anª angelª standingª° inª the¹ sun;ª andª he criedª° with a loudª voice,ª sayingª° to allª the¹ fowlsª that flyª° inª the midst of heaven,ª Comeª° andª gather yourselves togetherª° untoª the¹ supperª of the¹ greatª God;ª ... Thatª ye may eatª° the fleshª of kings,ª andª the fleshª of captains,ª andª the fleshª of mighty men,ª andª the fleshª of horses,ª andª of them that sitª° onª them,ª andª the fleshª of allª [men, both] freeª andª bond,ª bothª smallª andª great.ª" {Rev 19:17-18}
