a day:
"And they saidª ° unto¹ him, Thus¹ saithª ° Hezekiah,ª This¹ dayª [is] a dayª of trouble,ª and of rebuke,ª and of blasphemy:ª for¹ the childrenª are comeª ° to¹ the birth,ª and [there is] not¹ strengthª to bring forth.ª °" {Isa 37:3} + "And they saidª ° unto¹ him, Thus¹ saithª ° Hezekiah,ª This¹ dayª [is] a dayª of trouble,ª and of rebuke,ª and blasphemy:ª for¹ the childrenª are comeª ° to¹ the birth,ª and [there is] not¹ strengthª to bring forth.ª °" {2Kg 19:3} + "Alas!ª for¹ that¹ dayª [is] great,ª so that² none¹ ¹ [is] like it:¹ it¹ [is] even the timeª of Jacob'sª trouble;ª but he shall be savedª ° out of¹ it." {Jer 30:7} + "Woeª unto you that desireª °¹ the dayª of the LORD!ª to what endª [is] it¹ for you? the dayª of the LORDª [is] darkness,ª and not¹ light.ª ... treading:
"And now¹ go to; I will tellª °¹ you¹ what¹ I¹ will doª ° to my vineyard:ª I will take awayª ° the hedgeª thereof, and it shall be¹ eaten up;ª ° [and] break downª ° the wallª thereof, and it shall be¹ trodden down:ª" {Isa 5:5} + "I will sendª ° him against an hypocriticalª nation,ª and against¹ the peopleª of my wrathª will I give him a charge,ª ° to takeª ° the spoil,ª and to takeª ° the prey,ª and to tread them downª ² ° like the mireª of the streets.ª" {Isa 10:6} + "For¹ in this¹ mountainª shall the handª of the LORDª rest,ª ° and Moabª shall be trodden downª ° under¹ him, even as strawª is trodden downª ° for the dunghill.ª ² °²" {Isa 25:10}

perplexity:
"The postsª ° went out,ª ° being hastenedª ° by the king'sª commandment,ª and the decreeª was givenª ° in Shushanª the palace.ª And the kingª and Hamanª sat downª ° to drink;ª ° but the cityª Shushanª was perplexed.ª °" {Est 3:15} + "The bestª of them [is] as a brier:ª the most uprightª [is sharper] than a thorn hedge:ª ¹ the dayª of thy watchmenª ° [and] thy visitationª cometh;ª ° now¹ shall be¹ their perplexity.ª" {Mic 7:4}

breaking:

crying:
