{Isaiah 5:13} Therefore x3651 my people 5971 are gone into captivity, 1540 z8804 because [they have] no x4480 x1097 knowledge: 1847 and their honourable 3519 men 4962 [are] famished, 7458 and their multitude 1995 dried up 6704 with thirst. 6772

my people:
"Your countryª [is] desolate,ª your citiesª [are] burnedª ° with fire:ª your land,ª strangersª ° devourª ° it in your presence,¹ and [it is] desolate,ª as overthrownª by strangers.ª °" {Isa 1:7} + "But this¹ [is] a peopleª robbedª ° and spoiled;ª ° [they are] all¹ of them snaredª ° in holes,ª °² and they are hidª ° in prisonª houses:ª they are¹ for a prey,ª and none¹ delivereth;ª ° for a spoil,ª and none¹ saith,ª ° Restore.ª ° ... honourable men are famished:
Heb. glory are men of famine, "If¹ I go forthª ° into the field,ª then behold¹ the slainª with the sword!ª and if¹ I enterª ° into the city,ª then behold¹ them that are sickª with famine!ª yea,¹ both¹ the prophetª and¹ the priestª go aboutª ° into¹ a landª that they knowª ° not.¹" {Jer 14:18} + "The tongueª of the sucking childª ° cleavethª ° to¹ the roof of his mouthª for thirst:ª the young childrenª askª ° bread,ª [and] no man¹ breakethª ° [it] unto them. ... multitude:
