that giveth:
"Greatª ° deliveranceª giveth he to his king;ª and shewethª ° mercyª to his anointed,ª to David,ª and to his seedª for² evermore.ª ¹" {Psa 18:50} + "There is no¹ kingª savedª ° by the multitudeª of an host:ª a mighty manª is not¹ deliveredª ° by muchª strength.ª ... Behold,¹ the eyeª of the LORDª [is] upon¹ them that fearª him, upon them that hopeª ° in his mercy;ª" {Psa 33:16-18} + "And Davidª enquiredª ° of the LORD,ª saying,ª ° Shall I go upª ° to¹ the Philistines?ª wilt thou deliverª ° them into mine hand?ª And the LORDª saidª ° unto¹ David,ª Go up:ª ° for¹ I will doubtless² ° deliverª °¹ the Philistinesª into thine hand.ª ... or, victory, "Thus¹ saithª ° the LORDª to his anointed,ª to Cyrus,ª whose¹ right handª I have holden,ª ° to subdueª ° nationsª beforeª him; and I will looseª ° the loinsª of kings,ª to openª ° beforeª him the two leaved gates;ª and the gatesª shall not¹ be shut;ª ° ... That¹ they may knowª ° from the risingª ¹ of the sun,ª and from the west,ª ¹ that¹ [there is] noneª besideª me. I¹ [am] the LORD,ª and [there is] none¹ else.¹" {Isa 45:1-6} + "And now¹ have I¹ givenª °¹ all¹ these¹ landsª into the handª of Nebuchadnezzarª the kingª of Babylon,ª my servant;ª and¹ the beastsª of the fieldª have I givenª ° him also¹ to serveª ° him. ... who delivereth:
"O GODª the Lord,ª the strengthª of my salvation,ª thou hast coveredª ° my headª in the dayª of battle.ª" {Psa 140:7} + "Then saidª ° Davidª to¹ the Philistine,ª Thou¹ comestª ° to¹ me with a sword,ª and with a spear,ª and with a shield:ª but I¹ comeª ° to¹ thee in the nameª of the LORDª of hosts,ª the Godª of the armiesª of Israel,ª whom¹ thou hast defied.ª ° ... This¹ dayª will the LORDª deliverª ° thee into mine hand;ª and I will smiteª ° thee, and takeª °¹ thine headª from¹ ¹ thee; and I will giveª ° the carcasesª of the hostª of the Philistinesª this¹ dayª unto the fowlsª of the air,ª and to the wild beastsª of the earth;ª that all¹ the earthª may knowª ° that¹ there isª a Godª in Israel.ª" {1Sm 17:45-46} + "And Ishbibenob,ª which¹ [was] of the sonsª of the giant,² ¹ the weightª of whose spearª [weighed] threeª hundredª [shekels] of brassª in weight,ª he¹ being girdedª ° with a newª [sword], thoughtª ° to have slainª °¹ David.ª ...
