- Praise ye the LORD[YaH]:
- Heb. Hallelujah, "Praiseª° ye the LORD.ª I will praiseª° the LORDª with [my] whole¹ heart,ª in the assemblyª of the upright,ª and [in] the congregation.ª" {Psa 111:1} + "Praiseª° ye the LORD:ª for¹ [it is] goodª to sing praisesª° unto our God;ª for¹ [it is] pleasant;ª [and] praiseª is comely.ª" {Psa 147:1} + "Kingsª of the earth,ª and all¹ people;ª princes,ª and all¹ judgesª° of the earth:ª ... He also exaltethª° the hornª of his people,ª the praiseª of all¹ his saints;ª [even] of the childrenª of Israel,ª a peopleª nearª unto him. Praiseª° ye the LORD.ª" {Psa 148:11-14} + "Praiseª° ye the LORD.ª Praiseª° Godª in his sanctuary:ª praiseª° him in the firmamentª of his power.ª" {Psa 150:1}; This is another of the alphabetical Psalms, being formed exactly as the preceding in the division of its verses; and, like it, was probably composed for the use of the Jews, after their return from captivity.
