I said:
"BETH. Wherewithal¹ shall a young manª cleanseª °¹ his way?ª by taking heedª ° [thereto] according to thy word.ª" {Psa 119:9} + "That¹ the LORDª may continueª °¹ his wordª which¹ he spakeª ° concerning¹ me, saying,ª ° If¹ thy childrenª take heedª ° to¹ their way,ª to walk² °¹ beforeª me in truthª with all¹ their heartª and with all¹ their soul,ª there shall not¹ failª ° thee (saidª ° he) a manª on¹ ¹ the throneª of Israel.ª" {1Kg 2:4} + "But Jehuª took no heedª °¹ to walk² °¹ in the lawª of the LORDª Godª of Israelª with all¹ his heart:ª for he departedª ° not¹ from¹ ¹ the sinsª of Jeroboam,ª which¹ made¹ Israelª to sin.ª °" {2Kg 10:31} + "Ponderª ° the pathª of thy feet,ª and let all¹ thy waysª be established.ª ° ... my mouth:
etc. Heb. a bridle, or muzzle, for my mouth, "If any manª amongª youª seemª ° to beª ° religious,ª and bridlethª ° notª his² ¹ tongue,ª butª deceivethª ° his own² ¹ heart,ª this man'sª religionª [is] vain.ª" {Jms 1:26} + "Forª in many thingsª we offendª ° all.ª If any manª offendª ° notª inª word,ª the sameª [is] a perfectª man,ª [and] ableª alsoª to bridleª ° the¹ wholeª body.ª ...
