croucheth:
Heb. breaketh himself, "And it shall come to pass,¹ [that] every one¹ that is leftª ° in thine houseª shall comeª ° [and] crouchª ° to him for a pieceª of silverª and a morselª of bread,ª and shall say,ª ° Putª ° me, I pray thee,¹ into¹ oneª of the priests' offices,ª that I may eatª ° a pieceª of bread.ª" {1Sm 2:36}

humbleth:
"And Saulª said,ª ° I will giveª ° him her, that she may be¹ a snareª to him, and that the handª of the Philistinesª may be¹ against him. Wherefore Saulª saidª ° to¹ David,ª Thou shalt this dayª be my son in law² °¹ in [the one of] the twain.ª ...
