look for light:
"When¹ I looked² ° for¹ good,ª then evilª cameª ° [unto me]: and when I waitedª ° for light,ª there cameª ° darkness.ª" {Job 30:26} + "We lookedª ° for peace,ª but no¹ goodª [came; and] for a timeª of health,ª and behold¹ trouble!ª" {Jer 8:15} + "Giveª ° gloryª to the LORDª your God,ª before¹ he cause darkness,ª ° and before¹ your feetª stumbleª ° upon¹ the darkª mountains,ª and, while ye lookª ° for light,ª he turnª ° it into the shadow of death,ª [and] makeª °°° [it] gross darkness.ª" {Jer 13:16}

the dawning of the day:
Heb. the eye-lids of the morning, "By his neesingsª a lightª doth shine,ª ° and his eyesª [are] like the eyelidsª of the morning.ª" {Job 41:18}
