{Esther 8:9} Then were the king's 4428 scribes 5608 z8802 called 7121 z8735 at that x1931 time 6256 in the third 7992 month, 2320 that x1931 [is], the month 2320 Sivan, 5510 on the three 7969 and twentieth 6242 [day] thereof; and it was written 3789 z8735 according to all x3605 that x834 Mordecai 4782 commanded 6680 z8765 unto x413 the Jews, 3064 and to x413 the lieutenants, 323 and the deputies 6346 and rulers 8269 of the provinces 4082 which x834 [are] from India 1912 x4480 unto x5704 Ethiopia, 3568 an hundred 3967 twenty 6242 and seven 7651 provinces, 4082 unto every province 4082 according to the writing 3791 thereof, and unto every people 5971 after their language, 3956 and to x413 the Jews 3064 according to their writing, 3791 and according to their language. 3956

the king's:
"Then were the king'sª scribesª ° calledª ° on the thirteenthª ª dayª of the firstª month,ª and there was writtenª ° according to all¹ that¹ Hamanª had commandedª ° unto¹ the king'sª lieutenants,ª and to¹ the governorsª that¹ [were] over¹ every province,ª and to¹ the rulersª of every peopleª of every provinceª according to the writingª thereof, and [to] every peopleª after their language;ª in the nameª of kingª Ahasuerusª was it written,ª ° and sealedª ° with the king'sª ring.ª" {Est 3:12}

and to the lieutenants:

India:
The Hebrew word Hoddo, in Syriac, Hendoo, and in Arabic, Hind, is rendered India by all the versions. India, or Hindostan, is a large country of the south of Asia, extending from north to south about 2,400 miles, and from east to west 1,800, between 8 degrees and 35 degrees n lat. and 68 degrees and 92 degrees e long.; being bounded on the west by the Indus, east by the Birman empire and Thibet, north by the Indian Caucasus, and south by the Indian Ocean. It is probable, however, that all the country east of the Indus was anciently called India.

and according:
