{Nehemiah 9:3} And they stood up 6965 z8799 in x5921 their place, 5977 and read 7121 z8799 in the book 5612 of the law 8451 of the LORD 3068 their God 430 [one] fourth x7243 part y7243 of the day; 3117 and [another] fourth x7243 part y7243 they confessed, 3034 z8693 and worshipped 7812 z8693 the LORD 3068 their God. 430

they stood:
"And Ezraª the scribeª ° stoodª ° upon¹ a pulpitª of wood,ª which¹ they had madeª ° for the purpose;ª and besideª him stoodª ° Mattithiah,ª and Shema,ª and Anaiah,ª and Urijah,ª and Hilkiah,ª and Maaseiah,ª on¹ his right hand;ª and on his left hand,ª ¹ Pedaiah,ª and Mishael,ª and Malchiah,ª and Hashum,ª and Hashbadana,ª Zechariah,ª [and] Meshullam.ª" {Neh 8:4} + "Also Jeshua,ª and Bani,ª and Sherebiah,ª Jamin,ª Akkub,ª Shabbethai,ª Hodijah,ª Maaseiah,ª Kelita,ª Azariah,ª Jozabad,ª Hanan,ª Pelaiah,ª and the Levites,ª caused¹ the peopleª to understandª ° the law:ª and the peopleª [stood] in¹ their place.ª ... So they readª ° in the bookª in the lawª of Godª distinctly,ª ° and gaveª ° the sense,ª and caused [them] to understandª ° the reading.ª" {Neh 8:7-8}

one fourth:
"And he readª ° therein beforeª the streetª that¹ [was] beforeª the waterª gateª from¹ the morningª until¹ midday,ª ª before¹ the men² ¹ and the women,ª and those that could understand;ª ° and the earsª of all¹ the peopleª [were attentive] unto¹ the bookª of the law.ª" {Neh 8:3}
