Haggai:
These are the same Haggai and Zechariah, whose writings we have among the twelve minor prophets; and, as a great part of them refer to the events here recorded, the reader will find it very profitable to compare them with the history. "In the secondª yearª of Dariusª the king,ª in the sixthª month,ª in the firstª dayª of the month,ª came¹ the wordª of the LORDª byª Haggaiª the prophetª unto¹ Zerubbabelª the sonª of Shealtiel,ª governorª of Judah,ª and to¹ Joshuaª the sonª of Josedech,ª the highª priest,ª saying,ª ° ... In the fourª and twentiethª dayª of the sixthª month,ª in the secondª yearª of Dariusª the king.ª" {Hgg 1:1-15}

Zechariah:
"In the eighthª month,ª in the secondª yearª of Darius,ª came¹ the wordª of the LORDª unto¹ Zechariah,ª the sonª of Berechiah,ª the sonª of Iddoª the prophet,ª saying,ª ° ... Then saidª ° I, What¹ comeª ° these¹ to do?ª ° And he spake,ª ° saying,ª ° These¹ [are] the hornsª which¹ have scatteredª °¹ Judah,ª so that² no¹ manª did lift upª ° his head:ª but these¹ are comeª ° to frayª ° them, to cast outª °¹ the hornsª of the Gentiles,ª which lifted upª ° [their] hornª over¹ the landª of Judahª to scatterª ° it." {Zch 1:1-21}

the son of Iddo:
That is, "the grandson of Iddo;" for Zechariah was the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo.

in the name:
"And he shall standª ° and feedª ° in the strengthª of the LORD,ª in the majestyª of the nameª of the LORDª his God;ª and they shall abide:ª ° for¹ now¹ shall he be greatª ° unto¹ the endsª of the earth.ª" {Mic 5:4} + "Thus¹ speakethª ° the LORDª of hosts,ª saying,ª ° This¹ peopleª say,ª ° The timeª is not¹ come,ª ° the timeª that the LORD'Sª houseª should be built.ª ° ...
