{2 Chronicles 31:15} And next x5921 x3027 him [were] Eden, 5731 and Miniamin, 4509 and Jeshua, 3442 and Shemaiah, 8098 Amariah, 568 and Shecaniah, 7935 in the cities 5892 of the priests, 3548 in [their] set office, 530 to give 5414 z8800 to their brethren 251 by y3027 courses, 4256 as well to the great 1419 as to the small: 6996

next him:
Heb. at his hand, "And Jehiel,ª and Azaziah,ª and Nahath,ª and Asahel,ª and Jerimoth,ª and Jozabad,ª and Eliel,ª and Ismachiah,ª and Mahath,ª and Benaiah,ª [were] overseersª under the handª ¹ of Cononiahª and Shimeiª his brother,ª at the commandmentª of Hezekiahª the king,ª and Azariahª the rulerª of the houseª of God.ª" {2Ch 31:13} *marg.

Miniamin:
Instead of Miniamin, Benjamin is the reading of three manuscripts, and of the Syriac, Arabic, LXX, and Vulgate.

the cities:
"And they gaveª ° out of the tribeª ¹ of the childrenª of Judah,ª and out of the tribeª ¹ of the childrenª of Simeon,ª ¹ these¹ citiesª which¹ are [here] mentionedª ° by name,ª ... All¹ the citiesª of the childrenª of Aaron,ª the priests,ª [were] thirteenª ª citiesª with their suburbs.ª" {Jsh 21:9-19} + "Now these¹ [are] their dwelling placesª throughout their castlesª in their coasts,ª of the sonsª of Aaron,ª of the familiesª of the Kohathites:ª for¹ theirs was¹ the lot.ª ... And out of the tribeª ¹ of Benjamin;ª ¹ Gebaª with her suburbs,ª and Alemethª with her suburbs,ª and Anathothª with her suburbs.ª All¹ their citiesª throughout their familiesª [were] thirteenª ª cities.ª" {1Ch 6:54-60}

or, trust, "All¹ these [which were] chosenª ° to be portersª in the gatesª [were] two hundredª and twelve.ª ª These¹ were reckoned by their genealogyª ° in their villages,ª whom² Davidª and Samuelª the seer² °¹ did ordainª ° in their set office.ª" {1Ch 9:22} *marg.
