- in the second month:
- In Ijar, as they could not celebrate in Nisan, the 14th of which month was the proper time. But Hezekiah and his counsellors justly concluded, that the regulation of the 14th day of the second month, which had been made for individuals who were hindered from eating the passover at the appointed season, might in their present circumstances be extended to the people at large. "Speakª° unto¹ the childrenª of Israel,ª saying,ª° If¹ any² manª of you or¹ of your posterityª shall be¹ uncleanª by reason of a dead body,ª or¹ [be] in a journeyª afar off,ª yet he shall keepª° the passoverª unto the LORD.ª ... The fourteenthªª dayª of the secondª monthª at¹ evenª they shall keepª° it, [and] eatª° it with¹ unleavened breadª and bitterª [herbs]." {Num 9:10-11}
