the priests:
Peace offerings, and such like, the Levites might flay and dress; but the whole burnt offerings could only be touched by the priests, except in a case of necessity, such as the present. "And saidª ° unto them, Hearª ° me, ye Levites,ª sanctify² ° now yourselves,¹ ¹ and sanctifyª °¹ the houseª of the LORDª Godª of your fathers,ª and carry forthª °¹ the filthinessª out of¹ the holyª [place]." {2Ch 29:5} + "And they stoodª ° in¹ their placeª after their manner,ª according to the lawª of Mosesª the manª of God:ª the priestsª sprinkledª °¹ the blood,ª [which they received] of the handª ¹ of the Levites.ª ...
