{2 Chronicles 25:12} And [other] ten 6235 thousand 505 [left] alive 2416 did the children 1121 of Judah 3063 carry away captive, 7617 z8804 and brought 935 z8686 them unto the top 7218 of the rock, 5553 and cast them down 7993 z8686 from the top 7218 x4480 of the rock, 5553 that they all x3605 were broken in pieces. 1234 z8738

And other ten thousand:
No intimation is given on what account, or on what provocation, this most cruel conduct towards the prisoners of war was adopted. The enmity between Israel and Edom seems to have been reciprocal and deeply malignant. The victorious king and his army considered every individual of Edom as a traitor and rebel; and so adjudged them to death, and acted on this judgment. But their conduct was wholly inexcusable, and could only perpetuate rancour to future generations, and provoke the surviving Edomites to cruel retaliations, whenever they had it in their power.

cast them:
"And he brought forthª ° the peopleª that¹ [were] therein, and putª ° [them] under saws,ª and under harrowsª of iron,ª and under axesª of iron,ª and made them pass² ° through¹ ¹ the brickkiln:ª and thus¹ didª ° he unto all¹ the citiesª of the childrenª of Ammon.ª So Davidª and all¹ the peopleª returnedª ° unto Jerusalem.ª" {2Sm 12:31} + "And he brought outª ° the peopleª that¹ [were] in it, and cutª ° [them] with saws,ª and with harrowsª of iron,ª and with axes.ª Even so¹ dealtª ° Davidª with all¹ the citiesª of the childrenª of Ammon.ª And Davidª and all¹ the peopleª returnedª ° to Jerusalem.ª" {1Ch 20:3}

"And now,¹ behold,¹ the childrenª of Ammonª and Moabª and mountª Seir,ª whom¹ thou wouldest not¹ letª ° Israelª invade,ª ° when they came¹ out² ° of the landª ¹ of Egypt,ª but¹ they turnedª ° from¹ ¹ them, and destroyedª ° them not;¹" {2Ch 20:10} + "In his daysª the Edomitesª revoltedª ° from under¹ ¹ the dominionª of Judah,ª and madeª °¹ themselves a king.ª ... So the Edomitesª revoltedª ° from under¹ ¹ the handª of Judahª unto¹ this¹ day.ª The same¹ timeª [also] did Libnahª revoltª ° from under¹ ¹ his hand;ª because¹ he had forsakenª °¹ the LORDª Godª of his fathers.ª" {2Ch 21:8-10}
