The cliff of Ziz was probably near Ziza, which Ptolemy places in Arabia Petrae, long. 69, 11/24 degrees lat. 31 degrees.

The wilderness of Jeruel seems, from "And they rose earlyª ° in the morning,ª and went forthª ° into the wildernessª of Tekoa:ª and as they went forth,ª ° Jehoshaphatª stoodª ° and said,ª ° Hearª ° me, O Judah,ª and ye inhabitantsª ° of Jerusalem;ª Believeª ° in the LORDª your God,ª so shall ye be established;ª ° believeª ° his prophets,ª so shall ye prosper.ª °" {2Ch 20:20}, to have been a part of the wilderness of Tekoa.
