the Ethiopians:
"With twelve hundredª ª chariots,ª and threescoreª thousandª horsemen:ª and the peopleª [were] without¹ numberª that¹ cameª ° with¹ him out of Egypt;ª ¹ the Lubims,ª the Sukkiims,ª and the Ethiopians.ª" {2Ch 12:3} + "And there came outª ° against¹ them Zerahª the Ethiopianª with an hostª of a thousandª thousand,ª and threeª hundredª chariots;ª and cameª ° unto¹ Mareshah.ª ... So the LORDª smoteª °¹ the Ethiopiansª beforeª Asa,ª and beforeª Judah;ª and the Ethiopiansª fled.ª °" {2Ch 14:9-12}

"And at that¹ timeª Hananiª the seer² °¹ cameª ° to¹ Asaª kingª of Judah,ª and saidª ° unto¹ him, Because thou hast reliedª ° on¹ the kingª of Syria,ª and not¹ reliedª ° on¹ the LORDª thy God,ª therefore¹ ¹ is the hostª of the kingª of Syriaª escapedª ° out of thine hand.ª ¹" {2Ch 16:7} + "The LORDª also will be¹ a refugeª for the oppressed,ª a refugeª in timesª of trouble.ª ...
