{2 Chronicles 11:23} And he dealt wisely, 995 z8799 and dispersed 6555 z8799 of all x4480 x3605 his children 1121 throughout all x3605 the countries 776 of Judah 3063 and Benjamin, 1144 unto every x3605 fenced 4694 city: 5892 and he gave 5414 z8799 them victual 4202 in abundance. 7230 And he desired 7592 z8799 many 1995 wives. 802

he dealt:
"But he forsookª °¹ the counselª which¹ the old menª gaveª ° him, and took counselª ° with¹ the young menª that¹ were brought upª ° with¹ him, that stoodª ° beforeª him. ... So the kingª hearkenedª ° not¹ unto¹ the people:ª for¹ the causeª was¹ of¹ ¹ God,ª that¹ the LORDª might performª °¹ his word,ª which¹ he spakeª ° by the handª of Ahijahª the Shiloniteª to¹ Jeroboamª the sonª of Nebat.ª" {2Ch 10:8-15} + "Andª the¹ lordª commendedª ° the¹ unjustª steward,ª becauseª he had doneª ° wisely:ª forª the¹ childrenª of thisª worldª areª ° inª theirª generationª wiserª thanª the¹ childrenª of light.ª" {Lke 16:8}

dispersed:
"And their fatherª gaveª ° them greatª giftsª of silver,ª and of gold,ª and of precious things,ª with¹ fencedª citiesª in Judah:ª but the kingdomª gaveª ° he to Jehoram;ª because¹ he¹ [was] the firstborn.ª" {2Ch 21:3} + "But unto the sonsª of the concubines,ª which¹ Abrahamª had, Abrahamª gaveª ° gifts,ª and sent them awayª ° from¹ ¹ Isaacª his son,ª while he yet¹ lived,ª eastward,ª unto¹ the eastª country.ª" {Gen 25:6} + "Then Adonijahª the sonª of Haggithª exalted² ° himself,¹ saying,ª ° I¹ will be king:ª ° and he preparedª ° him chariotsª and horsemen,ª and fiftyª menª to runª ° beforeª him. ... every fenced city:
"And he fortifiedª °¹ the strong holds,ª and putª ° captainsª in them, and storeª of victual,ª and of oilª and wine.ª" {2Ch 11:11}

many wives:
Heb. a multitude of wives, "And Rehoboamª lovedª °¹ Maachahª the daughterª of Absalomª above all¹ ¹ his wivesª and his concubines:ª (for¹ he tookª ° eighteenª ª wives,ª and threescoreª concubines;ª and begatª ° twentyª and eightª sons,ª and threescoreª daughters.)ª" {2Ch 11:21}
