{2 Chronicles 10:7} And they spake 1696 z8762 unto x413 him, saying, 559 z8800 If x518 thou be x1961 kind 2896 to this x2088 people, 5971 and please 7521 z8804 them, and speak 1696 z8765 good 2896 words 1697 to x413 them, they will be x1961 thy servants 5650 for ever. 3117 x3605

If thou be kind:
"And they spakeª ° unto¹ him, saying,ª ° If¹ thou wilt be¹ a servantª unto this¹ peopleª this day,ª and wilt serveª ° them, and answerª ° them, and speakª ° goodª wordsª to¹ them, then they will be¹ thy servantsª for ever.ª ¹" {1Kg 12:7} + "A softª answerª turneth² ° away¹ wrath:ª but grievousª wordsª stir upª ° anger.ª" {Prv 15:1}

speak good:
"Naphtaliª [is] a hindª let loose:ª ° he givethª ° goodlyª words.ª" {Gen 49:21} + "And Absalomª rose up early,ª ° and stoodª ° besideª ¹ the wayª of the gate:ª and it was¹ [so], that when any¹ manª that¹ had¹ a controversyª cameª ° to¹ the kingª for judgment,ª then Absalomª calledª ° unto¹ him, and said,ª ° Of¹ ¹ whatª cityª [art] thou?¹ And he said,ª ° Thy servantª [is] of oneª ¹ of the tribesª of Israel.ª ...
