two pillars:
"For he castª °¹ twoª pillarsª of brass,ª of eighteenª ª cubitsª highª apiece:ª ª and a lineª of twelveª ª cubitsª did compass² ° either² of them about.ª °¹ ¹ ¹ ... And under¹ ¹ the brimª of it round aboutª [there were] knopsª compassingª ° it, tenª in a cubit,ª compassingª °¹ the seaª round about:ª the knopsª [were] cast² ¹ in twoª rows,ª when it was cast.² °¹" {1Kg 7:15-24} + "The twoª pillars,ª oneª sea,ª and twelveª ª brasenª bullsª that¹ [were] under¹ the bases,ª which¹ kingª Solomonª had madeª ° in the houseª of the LORD:ª the brassª of all¹ these¹ vesselsª was¹ without¹ weight.ª ... thirty:
The Syriac and Arabic have, agreeably to the parallel passage, "eighteen cubits high;" but the Septuagint, Chaldee, and Vulgate have "thirty and five cubits high."
