{1 Chronicles 24:4} And there were more 7227 chief 7218 men 1397 found 4672 z8735 of the sons 1121 of Eleazar 499 than x4480 of the sons 1121 of Ithamar; 385 and [thus] were they divided. 2505 z8799 Among the sons 1121 of Eleazar 499 [there were] sixteen 8337 6240 chief men 7218 of the house 1004 of [their] fathers, 1 and eight 8083 among the sons 1121 of Ithamar 385 according to the house 1004 of their fathers. 1

"Phinehas,ª the sonª of Eleazar,ª the sonª of Aaronª the priest,ª hath turned² ° my wrath² awayª °¹ ¹ from¹ ¹ the childrenª of Israel,ª while he was zealousª ° for my sakeª ¹ amongª them, that I consumedª ° not¹ ¹ the childrenª of Israelª in my jealousy.ª ... And he shall have¹ it, and his seedª afterª him, [even] the covenantª of an everlastingª priesthood;ª becauseª ¹ he was zealousª ° for his God,ª and made an atonementª ° for¹ the childrenª of Israel.ª" {Num 25:11-13}
