- Give thanks:
- This beautiful hymn, to the "[Saying], Touchª° not¹ mine anointed,ª and do¹ my prophetsª no¹ harm.²°" {1Ch 16:22}, is nearly the same as "O give thanksª° unto the LORD;ª callª° upon his name:ª make knownª° his deedsª among the people.ª ... [Saying], Touchª° not¹ mine anointed,ª and do my prophetsª no¹ harm.ª°" {Psa 105:1-15}; from the "Singª° unto the LORD,ª all¹ the earth;ª shew forthª° from dayª¹ to¹ dayª his salvation.ª" {1Ch 16:23} to the "Then¹ shall the treesª of the woodª sing outª° at the presenceª¹ of the LORD,ª because¹ he comethª° to judgeª°¹ the earth.ª" {1Ch 16:33} it accords with "O singª° unto the LORDª a newª song:ª singª° unto the LORD,ª all¹ the earth.ª ... Beforeª the LORD:ª for¹ he cometh,ª° for¹ he comethª° to judgeª° the earth:ª he shall judgeª° the worldª with righteousness,ª and the peopleª with his truth.ª" {Psa 96:1-13}; and the conclusion agrees with "Praiseª° ye the LORD.ª O give thanksª° unto the LORD;ª for¹ [he is] good:ª for¹ his mercyª [endureth] for ever.ª ... Blessedª° [be] the LORDª Godª of Israelª from¹ everlastingª to¹ everlasting:ª and let all¹ the peopleª say,ª° Amen.ª Praiseª° ye the LORD.ª" {Psa 106:1-48}, with the addition of "O give thanksª° unto the LORD;ª for¹ [he is] good;ª for¹ his mercyª [endureth] for ever.ª ... Blessedª° [be] the LORDª Godª of Israelª for everª¹ and ever.ª¹ And all¹ the peopleª said,ª° Amen,ª and praisedª° the LORD.ª" {1Ch 16:34-36} + "O give thanksª° unto the LORD;ª callª° upon his name:ª make knownª° his deedsª among the people.ª ... [Saying], Touchª° not¹ mine anointed,ª and do my prophetsª no¹ harm.ª°" {Psa 105:1-15}
